After Exam Series: Mini Jogathon & Fun Day 2014

The After Exam Series: Mini Jogathon & Fun Day 2014 was organized by the Executive of Sports & Recreation (ESR) in an effort to reunite students during the long period of semester break. It was held on Monday, 26 May 2014. 

The event started off at 6am with distributing PMUBD merchandise for participants at the registration booth followed with a Warm Up Session for participants at 6:45am which was joined by the Guest of Honour, Awg Demigo bin Kapal, penolong Pegawai ECA.

The 3.6km Jogathon flagged off at 7am lead by the male participants including the Guest of Honour, then followed by female participants 10 minutes later. Participants completed the jogathon in just less than an hour and the event moved on to prize presentation by the Guest of Honour.

The second part of the event was the Fun Day which received an overwhelming response by the participants where they had fun in joining a number of games prepared by the working committees of ESR. In the games, participants were grouped into four different houses ; Red, Yellow, Green & Blue and part of the games include memorizing the names of the people in their respective group and a lot of teamwork activities. Points were counted where at the end of the event, the Red House won as the Champion, 2nd place Blue House, 3rd place Green House and 4th place Yellow House.

The sports house trial was concluded as being successful. Ak Muhammad Nur Azmi bin Pg Hj Safri, The head of ESR and the co-chairman of the event plans to further develop the House System to promote participation in sports tournament run by the clubs. One example that the co-chairman suggested was points can be gained from participation and winning tournaments by the clubs under PMUBD.

All in all, the event turned out great with outstanding response. ESR is looking forward for organize more sports activities in the near future with more participation from the UBD Students.
