  1. The Micromouse competition is to be held only in the afternoons (2.00 p.m onwards) so as not to disrupt morning lessons on the school days.
  1. This competition is similar in terms of categories and rules as stipulated in the previous STEP Centre’ Robotech 2010 competition held early September this year.  However, due to the public audience and as part of highlighting robotics in the technology expo, STEP Centre organise another one specifically for this purpose.  There are several differences in certain areas of this competition compared to Robotech (see below).
  1. The rules and regulations are attached in the next section.
  1. The competition is OPEN such that each school / college / university can send as many teams as possible.  This is to encourage as many participants as possible.  However, each category remains unchanged.  For example, F1A is for secondary students and F1B is for higher institutions, and so on.
  1. A team can also consist of only an individual – and a maximum of three for each – provided that each team has one micromouse set.
  1. Each team can also use the same micromouse for other accepted categories.
  1. The top 3 winning teams from each category will win plaques and certificates.  Cash prizes or in the form of gifts are still being negotiated by the organisers.  The prize presentation will be held in the same venue on Sunday afternoon, 7th November starting at 3.00 p.m.
